We crossed paths with a bear today, and I was so proud of Teeka. She didn’t show any aggression, or fear. Perfect. She was very interested in the smells, but she stayed right by me when I asked her to. I made our presence known, and the bear walked into the woods.
How did you “make your presence known”?
Talking to it calm, clear and loud – like a crazy woman with a imaginary friend.
It wasn’t threatened, and it had plenty of plants to hide in and feel safe. I just kept chatting to it, Teeka, myself, the air, so it could tell where we were.
