Up toward the Salmon Creek Reservoir today

Can’t believe I’ve never made it up here. Notice how someone likes to sneak into the corners of my shots when I least expect it.

Exploring his options

Montana Creek from the bridge

Suddenly it occurred to me that Montana is not just a big square state that I’ve never been to, it’s also a woman’s name.

This is our version of a dog park.

Standing by with empty’s going back

With an overnight connection, we slept in the baggage area the night before our standby flight. It had been a long journey so far, and I didn’t make the flight. Teeka was supposed to come back to me in one of these fancy carts. I went down to get her out of doggy purgatory for a little walk before we tried to get on the next flight to Juneau. There was a mistake, a big mistake. Apparently she made it one the flight without me. That’s a big dog travel no-no, but it turned out awesome because Adam was able to pick her up right when she landed, and she was home sweet home!

The really funny part was how I had been stressed out about juggling her, going in and out through security. I was fantasizing about persuading the airline staff to send her on without me, but I didn’t say a word. I knew it was against the rules and they couldn’t do it, no matter how logical it was or how nice I asked. I felt like I won the lottery.

What is this curious boundary?
