It’s folk festival week and we’re too lazy to walk downtown… or judging by Adam’s jacket, maybe it’s too cold to want to go out. They air the week-long festival on public radio, so no need to leave the house!
Have been wanting to get you a good shot of these float houses, and I finally saw our resident Heron in the day light. Until now I’ve mostly just heard him.
I bought these yummy purple potatoes, and I was just appreciating some of the color around me. I think these have been some of my new regular color choices.
I was hurrying out the door my last morning here, and I wanted to share this with you Adell. I love this chair. The feel of it reminds me of a dog sled. Very light weight but strong. Held together with copper rivets and rope and it swings and twirls from the ceiling.
This one’s been hanging around our crook of the river this week. It’s fun to watch when he dips his head in the water for fish. His neck sinks all the way down and he just looks like an average white bird, then all the sudden it starts rotating back up and you see this tall dude.
I’m pretty sure this Christmas Cactus has bloomed every time I’ve house sat here! I don’t know if it’s always doing this or I’m just lucky, but either way, I enjoy it.
