I think this was my second favorite moment of our Brussels trip! The Neuhaus chocolate factory is located at the edge of the city and totally worth the trip out. They have the equivalent of all you can eat samples and chocolate available for purchase at ridiculously cheap prices. We’re talking 150-200 pieces for $25. Amazing chocolate!!! Too bad our month more of travel through 90 degree unairconditioned temperatures will not support chocolate transportation.
My first favorite moment was drinking Belgian beer with Evan, Kim, and Mario (Evan’s work friend). We had such a great night!
Sacre Coeur Basilica is a block from our apartment in Montmartre. Montmartre is famous for it’s former artists including Renoir, Picasso, Toulouse-Lautrec, Dali, Monet, van Gogh, and Mondrian.
Musee du Luxembourg and the surrounding park – one of the many parks where only pigeons are allowed to walk on the grass.
This city is beautiful at night! I really want to watch Midnight in Paris again… I think they were really onto something. The city has an amazing spirit at night!
Samuel Beckett Bridge – very near where we stayed. This bridge is supposed to resemble a harp laying on its edge.
Howth (pronounced “howf” if you’re Irish). A short train ride from Dublin will take you to a peninsula which is home to the small village, Howth. Evan and I spent a few hours in and around Howth and took a hike around the peninsula.
Evan and I started our day with a Guinness Storehouse tour and ended it with a literary pub crawl. Our pub crawl guides took us to four pubs while entertaining and teaching us about the literary history of the city. Great fun!
