Dillon (family world) and Kate (friend world) had a grand time playing while the adults watched the Super Bowl. Their dads now work together at Toopher, but it’s still a little surreal to see them together.
I’d like to say I did it all, but between really stiff bolts and fading light, it was definitely a team effort.
A front was blowing in with really high winds and rain right at sunset. I’ll go ahead and say… it was much prettier in person.
It’s so nice to see daylight on the weekends! Evan, Ellie, and I had some porch time near sunset… that’s our name for sitting on the glider and reading on our front porch… like an old married couple.
Brooke and I spent a girl’s day together at the hardware store and then the shop. At one point we were asked if we had children, so naturally we followed by calling one another “honey” and “sweetheart”. By the way, I was working on painting the soon to be Toopher sign (foreground), which Brooke will then CNC (background) with the company logo.
A new, super granola store named “in.gredients” opened up in our neighborhood. They mainly have local and organic bulk items, but I thought the homemade looking soaps were too funny! Where am I, Portlandia?!?
