That is the extent to the kitchen. I can’t imagine how you survive on a boat.
We met up with a large couch surfing group at a bar for trivia tonight, which turned out to be a total crowded disaster. We salvaged the evening by walking blindly around town and stumbled across this beautiful building. I love the curved outer wall. Really, I’m just a sucker for curved walls.
We decided to visit the cathedral in the evening, not realizing it would be during mass. It was pretty impressive to see the pomp and circumstance with what seemed like dozens of choir children, plenty of clergy, and even two cardinals (I just looked it up, there are only 204 living cardinals today).
I was stunned to find out the Palace of Versailles has an opera house and a massive chapel INSIDE the palace. Crazy opulence!

Me too. Here’s to you Sunshine!
Summer Solstice (Fete de la Musique) – you could find musicians on every street corner for the solstice celebration – with banjo and guitars, these guys were my clear favorites
